Global Competitiveness Empowerment Forum (GCEF) and Benita & Catalino Yap Foundation co-signed a bilateral MOU in Manila, Philippines on September 25, 2019 for collaborating in the areas of CSR, social enterprise, social business, anti-corruption, and governance together.
Benita & Catalino Yap Foundation (BCYF) is based in Manila, Philippines and founded by Mr. Antonio S. Yap, Founder and Chairman of BCYF in 1993. For several decades, BCYF pursues CSR 1.0 (philanthropy), CSR 2.0 (social progress and development), and CSR 3.0 (social responsibility) and has been cooperating with academia, practitioners, business, and governmental organizations for training, research, advocacy. BCYF’s flagship initiatives include CSR Awards, Social Enterprise Awards, National CSR Youth Awards, and Hometown Heroes Awards etc.
BCYF has annually hosted its Philippine CSR Research Conference by inviting CSR leaders from overseas and domestically. Ms. Angela Joo-Hyun Kang, Founder and Executive President of Global Competitiveness Empowerment Forum (GCEF) was one of keynote speakers at its collaborative event with ADB, the 4th Philippine CSR Research Conference in 2014.
In September, 2019, BCYF invited Ms. Kang again, as a sole speaker, for various CSR events of Philippine Social Responsibility Month 2019 to honor BCYF’s 25th anniversary – CEO Breakfast of Management Association of the Philippines (MAP), Business Luncheon of Mandaue Chamber of Commerce, Integrity Talk at Armed Forces of the Philippines hosted by the Philippine Military Academy Alumni Association Incorporated, University of San Jose-Recoletos, and University of San Carlos.
