Ms. Angela Joo-Hyun Kang, Founder and Executive President of Global Competitiveness Empowerment Forum (GCEF) has participated in the G20 and Global Governance Innovation E-Consultation (24 February - 8 April 2026) of Think 20 (T20).
Serving as an ¡°idea bank¡± for the G20, T20 is one of the official engagement groups of G20, composed of think tanks and research centers or institutes from G20 and other guest countries, like B20(Business 20), W20 (Women 20), C20(Civil Society 20), L20(Labor 20), Y20(Youth 20), etc., even though only B20 was recognized by 2026 G20 USA in 2026. T20 was founded in 2012 during the Mexican Presidency of the G20 and T20 recommendations are synthesized into policy briefs and presented to G20 working groups, ministerial meetings, and leaders¡¯ summit to help the G20 deliver concrete policy measures.
The E-Consultation convened 450+ scholars, policy researchers, advocates, and practitioners from around the world for 6 segments as below under the theme this year of ¡°Harnessing Knowledge and Ensuring Continuity for Better Policymaking in Uncertain Times.¡± by the Stimson Center, the secretariat of 2026 T20 USA, which is a nonprofit international policy think tank headquartered in Washington, D.C., focusing on global security, climate and environmental security, maritime governance, technology and AI governance, nuclear nonproliferation, Indo-Pacific strategy, etc. This year, T20 specially invited W20 for its valuable contribution to the segment 6.
The final version of the E-Consultations Synthesis Report (download) details the analytical insights and creative policy and institutional reform proposals highlighting initial analytical findings and policy recommendations for G20 policy-makers.
